Look forward to 124 comfortable rooms and suites, excellent cuisine with regional and international specialities, as well as relaxing hours in the lounge or Tukan Bar. The attractive location directly at Moers Castle Park and Bettenkamper Meer offers numerous opportunities for sports, recreation and excursions. The story of Van der Valk began in the 1920s in the Netherlands with the excursion restaurant “De Gouden Leeuw”. Over generations, the small family business developed into Europe’s largest family-run hotel company, which today operates more than 90 hotels and restaurants worldwide.
A special milestone followed on 10 October 1986: with the Hotel Moers, the van der Valk family opened their first location in Germany. What began back then as a bold step into unknown territory laid the foundation for the successful development of the brand in Germany.
40 years later, we look back with pride on this history, which is shaped by family tradition, entrepreneurial spirit and genuine hospitality.
