Explorado – the largest museum for children in Germany
Touching and trying is part of the concept.
Explorado, situated in the marina of Duisburg. It is a museum for 4-12-year-old kids. The phenomena of everyday life are explained on the basis of heart, hand, and mind.
Explorado has about 100 DIY-stations where children can test their reaction coordination and speed. The 100 stations are spread over the 3 floors counting the building. Children can put their reaction skills to the test at the motor pad or clock circuit. Technicians get a peek of what a builder’s life is like. Do the Explorado driving test and hoist the sails in the water landscape. Talk about satellites or try to encode the Morse-alphabet.
Getting smart is fun!
